Come and join us to ride some fantastic horses and see some stunning views of the Colorado Rockies! The trail rides can be enjoyed by riders 6 and up. For your safety and piece of mind, helmets are required for riders under the age of 12 and are optional for all other participants. For the health and safety of our horses we have a 275lb weight limit for our participants.
The following are just a few of the trail ride offerings at the Ranch:
Tarryall Buckaroo Ride ~ an experience developed to help young, or tentative, riders become comfortable around a horse. Buckaroos will be taught the basics of horse etiquette and enjoy a gentle ride, led by a wrangler, around the ranch and up the trail. This ride is open to children ages 2-10.
Cost is $40.00 per hour, and can be shared by multiple Buckaroos!
Stage Coach Loop ~ a one hour ride that transports the rider to yesteryear. As we ride up the Old Stage Coach road, one can imagine how the Colorado Territory looked in the days of Jim Bridger and Kit Carson. This is a very easy ride, good for beginners and children, and won’t leave you sore for your next adventure.
$65.00 per rider.
Canyon River Ride ~ a half-day ride that explores the shoulder of Tarryall Mountain and curves around into the river valley where Tarryall Creek joins the South Platte River. Upon arriving at this scenic area we secure the horses and hike to the river’s edge where we enjoy a light sack lunch. After resting or exploring for a time, we mount up and meander back to the ranch. The Canyon River Ride has you a little over three hours in the saddle, but it is well worth it.
$175.00, sack lunch included
